Monthly bite-sized inclusive leadership learning for people managers

Through our extensive research, we know that one of the most challenging aspects of line management and leadership today is knowing how to support colleagues beyond the technical aspects of their role. When colleagues are struggling with personal challenges, managers often feel afraid and ill-equipped to sensitively and skilfully provide support to those who perhaps have different lived experiences to their own.

In this one-hour bite-sized session, we'll explore:

  • Why sensitive conversations can be so daunting

  • How managers and leaders don't need to fix everything

  • Some simple skills and practical tips to provide confidence to both parties.

This live learning session is aimed at people managers within our member organisations to provide practical examples of best practice in building inclusive workplaces where people and business thrive.

This lunch is for HR and inclusion professionals from our member organisations to share best-practice and make connections. We will be joined by Emma Cusdin, Director at Global Butterflies who will share an update of the legal framework and case law impacting trans and non-binary people at work, what’s changed and what has not changed. She will also lead a discussion on what this means for supporting trans and non-binary people at work, and the main considerations for employers, HR and inclusion professionals, and people managers.
