Stephanie Aitken
Stephanie Aitken is a TEDx speaker, gender diversity consultant and pioneer of the Gender Harmony movement. With over 20 years in corporate environments, including 10 years as a commercial lawyer, she understands the realities of progressing in high-performance, male-dominated sectors from the inside.
For more than a decade, Stephanie has designed and delivered leadership programmes that support women to advance and help people of all genders increase their influence within complex organisations. She spent five years as a lead trainer for the UK’s largest women’s personal development company, delivering programmes at scale and supporting thousands of women to step into greater visibility and impact.
Through her corporate work and independent research, Stephanie began to question whether the current framing of gender progress was still fit for purpose in the face of stalled progress and growing backlash. Her TEDx talk, Is gender equality broken?, introduces Gender Harmony, a practical philosophy that reframes gender advancement as a shared endeavour. Its purpose is clear: accelerate progress, reduce division and help organisations unlock the full potential of their talent.
Today, she partners with organisations across law, finance, technology and transport to strengthen leadership pipelines and equip women with the strategic clarity, resilience and communication skills required to progress. As a speaker, she combines commercial credibility with powerful research and compelling storytelling, leaving audiences with fresh perspective and practical tools they can apply immediately.
