The four Ms: Monthlies, Miscarriage, Maternity & Menopause

I start today with a request for help - I've spent a lot of January head down writing my new book 'Don't Fix Women: The practical path to gender equality at work' and would love your input on the index (yes, I have got that far!). Can you help by telling me what words you would expect to see in the index of the book which explores how achieving gender equality at work isn't about 'fixing' the women but is about changing the system? Please do get in touch and let me know, it will really help and be greatly appreciated!

Here are my 3 things to know this month:

  1. Rising Star Awards nominations are now open! I'm honoured to be judging the WeAreTheCity Rising Star Awards this year which represent the female talent pipeline and the next generation of future leaders. If you know an incredible woman, a leader championing gender equality or a man committed to positively impacting gender balance, then why not nominate them for an award? You have until 8 March to nominate here. I'm looking forward to reading your entries!

  2. 25x25 campaign to get 25 female CEOs in FTSE 100. In another step towards gender equality, a new initiative backed by major companies aims to get 25 women CEOs in the FTSE100 by 2025 and 25% of the broader FTSE index thereafter. With very few women making it to the top role, the framework focuses on achieving gender balance at the highest levels. You can read more about the initiative here.

  3. Podcast season finale on the four Ms (Monthlies, Miscarriage, Maternity & Menopause). My latest podcast was all about 'Putting your health first' with Lilian Ugwumadu from The Surrey Park Clinic. This season on the 4 Ms has had a fantastic response, with the most popular episode being 'Speaking out about perimenopause at work'. You can catch up here and if you enjoy listening, please subscribe on your podcast app so I can continue sharing these inspiring conversations.

Finally, I'm kicking off the pilot for our brand new Hormone Hubs group coaching programme this week with a Menopause Hub for a fantastic organisation wanting to support women in this area. Do get in touch if you'd like to hear more about any of our coaching hubs which can also cover Monthlies, Miscarriage and Maternity.

Thank you again for any suggestions you can send me for my book index, send me your ideas!

Until next time,
Joy
