Alison Eddy

Alison Eddy is Partner Ambassador for Inclusion and former London Managing Partner for Irwin Mitchell, a multi-disciplinary law firm with 23 offices across the UK.

Alison is recognised as a leading medical negligence lawyer, specialising in representing women and babies who have suffered life changing injury as a result of obstetric negligence.

As a leader she has championed diversity, inclusion and social mobility. Today Irwin Mitchell is the only top 50 UK law firm where over 50% of the partners are women (58%). Alison has widely shared how that was achieved. She was the first female office Managing Partner for Irwin Mitchell in 2012 and now over 50% of office Managing Partners are women. She co-leads The Female Voice, a platform to connect, empower and inspire women across professional networks. Alison has recently been appointed Global Chair for the Diversity Inclusion and Representation Wing of G100:Mission million. She’s a strong believer that intentional small steps lead to meaningful lasting impact.

Alison has won many awards in recognition of her contribution to gender equality, most recently the Legal 500 ESG Lifetime Achievement Award - Women in Law (2024) and Modern Law Awards Diversity & Inclusion Award (2025).
